About Me

Are your desires for your marriage or dreams for your children hijacked by the stress of daily life? Do you find the relationship you have with your spouse, children or others not what you have hoped for? Do the feelings of being overwhelmed or exhausted describe your emotions on a regular basis?  You are not alone.  As a professional counselor, I work with individuals and couples just like you to create happy and healthy home environments and more satisfying relationships.

I am particularly drawn to working with couples who are struggling within their marriages and with those who are having a hard time navigating the maze of parenting.  My passion for this work has led me to also be a great fit for individuals who are struggling with the primary relationships in their lives whether it is with family, friends or co-workers.  I also work frequently with single parents and couples in all stages of commitment.

I believe that the integration of Truth, whether secular or Biblical, provides a catalyst for real change and freedom. I practice with the belief that a Creator made each one of us as a unique, whole person with meaning and purpose. My understanding that life's challenges are not confined to any one group, difficulty, race or religion, enables me to work effectively with individuals, couples, and families. My experience has shown that a holistic approach of addressing the mental, physical and spiritual dynamic of a person is most helpful in dealing with life's issues.

My Experience

I earned my Master's Degree in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. My passions coupled with life and work experiences have further prepared me for counseling, coaching and mentoring those yearning for a more satisfying and balanced life.

Even as a young colligate I was very interested in Psychology and the prospects of helping others in a clinical setting like the one I am in today. However, as many of us have experienced, life took a different turn for me. Through the guidance and direction of others that were influential in my life at the time, post graduation I married, stayed at home for two wonderful children, and enjoyed the opportunity of being able to fulfill my love for others by volunteering and practicing as a lay counselor in churches and private organizations. Many years after college, and a family nearly grown, the timing was right for me to return to school and obtain the necessary licensure to participate in the daily work of professional counseling.  I earned my professional credentials for counseling later in life affording me the opportunity to bring a wealth of life experience and the strength of academic knowledge to the counseling setting.

Each day I am excited to go to work. It has been a wonderful journey; One of no coincidence, so I consider it a great privilege to be invited into the lives of such incredible people ... my clients.
