About Me

I have a passion for working with adolescents and women who are going through transition, whether it be due to adolescence, graduating, moving, marriage, pregnancy, or career change. I am dedicated to assisting women as they grow through their experiences. My specialties include grief and loss, depression, anxiety, stress, and relationships.

My Experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. During my years as a licensed social worker I have had the opportunity to work with women in various settings. Throughout my career I have been fortunate to be able to counsel women in different stages of life. In New Orleans, I worked in a psychiatric facility with adolescents who experienced trauma and abuse. I moved to Atlanta to work as an adoption counselor for several years. During my time as an adoption counselor I counseled families in the process of adoption as well as pregnant women who made the decision to place their child for adoption. From there, I counseled pregnant adolescents and women who were dealing with relationship issues, depression, self-esteem issues, financial issues, and health issues.

My Education

I received my bachelor's degree at the University of Georgia. I completed my master's in social work and master's in public health, specifically in child and maternal health, at Tulane University in New Orleans. I have been licensed as a Clinical Social Worker since 2008. I continue to stay up-to-date to refine my skills through attending continuing education courses and seminars in both social work and public health.

What to Expect from Me

I am available for counseling and social work supervision on a weekly basis, primarily during the evening hours. I understand that schedules are tight, so I am flexible and I am open to accommodate weekend sessions.
