Larry Walton

About Me
Tommie (Larry) Walton has
worked in career development, consultation, training
since 1971. He entered the Behavioral Health Care field
in 1973 and created successful and innovative programs
in both the public and private sectors. He provides
leadership development specializing in family owned
businesses and, in addition to his enjoyment of training
other professionals, has a thriving private practice
in psychotherapy and addiction treatment where he uses
daily the methods he teaches. Using a "Learning
to Learn" model, he trains in what works and how
to use it. Larry alternates time between Georgia and
Wyoming and is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker
in both states. He has attained certification as an
Addiction Counselor and Clinical Supervisor. He is trained
as a trainer in Motivational Interviewing and as a Motivational
Interviewing supervisor.
Besides spending time with his family, Larry breeds,
trains and competes Catahoula Leopard Dogs (three national
championships). As a National Outdoor Leadership School
Graduate and Leave No Trace Trainer, he delights in
being outdoors. His latest adventure is an ascent of
Mt. Ranier in July ‘08.
